- Make ready 1/2 cup Chana Dhal
- Prepare 2 Whole red chillies
- Get 1 tsp Tamarind pulp
- Take 3 Garlic cloves
- Take few Curry leaves
- Take as per taste Salt

Add the fried skin of ridge gourd, green chillies and little water(if necessasary) to a blender and make a fine paste. To this make a tadka of mustard seeds,cumin seeds and urad dal, and mix all to gether. Ridge gourd is one vegetable that I find regularly at my neighbourhood rythu bazaar (farmer's market). The peel which is high in fibre is edible and need not be thrown away.

- Heat 1tsp of oil in a pan and add ridge gourd, saute well for 2 minutes and take out.
- Now add red chillies and chanadhal one by one and saute well.
- Add all the ingredients in the mixer jar and grind into paste by adding very little amount of water.
- Serve with rice, chapati.
