- Take 2 cup grated lauki
- Get 1/2 cup grated boiled potato

- Get 7 Clove garlic
- Get 4 tsp oil
- Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Get 1 tsp coriander powder
- Prepare 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
Steps to make Lauki Kofta:
- Mix all the ingredients to make kofta except oil and make small balls of it.
- Fry the koftas on high flame for 1 minute and then on low flame until it turns brown & crispy.
- Roast onion with ½ teaspoon of oil until it becomes light brown, now add ginger garlic to it and make fine paste of it. This is the onion paste for curry
- Heat 3 teaspoon of mustard oil or groundnut oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it.then add the onion paste to it and sauté it unil it becomes very dry and starts releasing oil from it. now add red chilli powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder& garam masala to it…cook it well…
- Add 3 cups of water in dry curry mixture and let it boil. Add fried koftas in this boiling gravy and boil it for 2- 3 minutes close the lid and remove it from flame
- Kofta curry taste best after 2 – 3 hours of cooking. Make it warm in microwave or heat it on gas stove and serve it with rice / chapatti / roti.
