- Remove the stalk and tail and cut the okras in circular with 1cm width
- Heat oil in a wok/pan, add mustard seeds and let them pop.Now add finely chopped onion and the leaves.Saute them for some seconds
- Add cut green chilly,paste and a pinch of salt and mix well
- Add the powders to it.Once the rawness of the powders and paste are gone,add the cut okras to this,salt to taste and mix them well until the masala is blended into these
- Add water as required or just as little as half a cup since okra doesn't require too much water to cook.Adding more water tend to make the okras even more stickier
- Close the pan with a lid and simmer the hear to medium or low flame for another 10-15 minutes. High flame would cause the okras to stick to the pan base and burn
- Do not overcook the okras as they will break into smaller pieces when you mix and won't taste good
