  17. Get as reqiued tamarind pulp

Once the fish turns soft and the curry is well boiled and thick, oil will start collecting at Once fish is added it gets cooked faster so cant boil for more time, so allow the curry to boil well before the fish is. This is a spicy, flavorful authentic chettinad fish curry (meen kuzhambu) recipe. I have mentioned in my other chettinad recipes posts that I have. Add the remaining oil in the frying pan.

Instructions to make Chettinad fish curry:
  1. Pour the gingelly oil pour the pan,add a small onions, garlic, cumin,ginger, red chillies,pepper corns and curry leaves And finally add the tomatoes (chopped), and fry well..
  2. After frying in few minutes add a chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and finally add the pinch of salt.. And it's stir well.. And it's grind the fine paste…
  3. Pour the gingilly oil in a frying pan. Add a small onions, chopped green chillies,and bunch of curry leaves. Stir well. Add a 2 chopped tomatoes..
  4. And put the masala mixture into it fry well.
  5. After few minutes add a tamarind water,required amount of water and salt and let it boil for 15 minutes…
  6. Once the curry boils well put the cleaned fish in it leave it for 5 minutes and turn of the stove…
  7. Now that the delicious chettinad fish curry is ready.Take it guys…

This fish curry is Chettinad based and without coconut. It is very quick to make with freshly ground spices and goes well with rice, idli/Dosa or Chapati.
